Beneath Dark Skies
As writers, we wanted to create a romance that doesn't shy away from the grittier aspects of life. Although the two of us feel that this first book isn’t necessarily a dark romance, it has some darker tones, and we are aware that some readers may consider it one.
That's why we feel it's important to mention that Beneath Dark Skies may contain material that some readers find difficult. We want to be upfront about potential triggers, including but not limited to: depression and suicidal thoughts/ideations, dissociation, anxiety and anxiety attacks, attempted rape, physical injuries, injured animals, decapitation, blood and gore, killing (of both zombies and humans), the death of a loved one, and depictions of grief and loss.
We have tried our best to list all the significant triggers above, but it’s always possible we’ve missed something. Please only continue reading this book if you feel you can handle it—at the end of the day, your mental health is the most important thing, and if you think that these triggers may be too much for you, it’s not worth it.
